You know keys? Those things everybody goes crazy for but you’re not totally sure why? They’re worth 7 ref(refined metal). So maybe you’re starting to get an idea of how expensive a refined metal is. If you leave it up to the TF2 gods, you’ll get about 10-12 weapon drops per week. If you’re crafting and not trading, that is. So, if you want to make one refined, you gotta lose 54 weapons. Which is a lot bigger than you ever thought. That scrap is an extremely tiny part of a huge machine known as the TF2 trading industry. I know this because I did that years ago, and just had this scrap sitting in my inventory even though I had no idea what the hell it was. If you’ve ever looked in your backpack, you’ll probably have had a crack at crafting some scrap. I won’t lie, there are times it feels like a very underground world, which is probably why I usually avoid it and get others to do my trading for me. Because I know that a lot of people who sometimes play TF2 have absolutely no idea about the world of trading that goes on just beneath their feet. At this point, I’m kind of just bragging, but it does sort of lead into my main point and the subject of today’s article. The best part is, all classes can wear it. Just so you know, there’s a 1% of getting an unusual whenever you open a crate, and only 8 of these hats with that effect exist in the TF2 world. The only good things I’ve ever unboxed from a crate are my Scattergun and my Sub Zero Suit, so I was pretty ecstatic when this baby popped up after the usually soul draining 5 second countdown.
